In recent weeks, a new health scare has rocked France and the world: “aphrodisiac honeys”, sometimes nicknamed “Viagra honeys”, contain dangerous chemical substances such as sildenafil or tadalafil, originally intended to treat erectile dysfunction.
These products, promoted as natural solutions for boosting libido, can cause serious side effects.

The dark side of aphrodisiac honeys

The erectile honey phenomenon

These products, often sold online or on social networks, appeal thanks to their natural image and seductive promises.

"Viagra honey" is aimed at a public looking for discreet solutions to improve sexual performance.

Yet beneath their innocent appearance, these honeys contain active medicinal substances, normally prescribed under strict medical supervision.

Sildenafil and tadalafil, present in these products, are the main components of Viagra and Cialis. They work by dilating blood vessels to promote blood flow, but unsupervised use can lead to severe, even fatal, side effects. It's not just nutrient-enriched honey; it's a chemical cocktail in disguise.

The dangers of "Viagra honey"

Consuming uncontrolled erectile honey exposes you to serious health risks.

The active substances it contains are not suitable for all profiles. For example, people with heart problems or taking other medications may face serious interactions.

Reported side effects include convulsions, cerebral edema and even acute renal failure. Some cases have led to emergency hospitalization. Worse still, these products are often incorrectly dosed, making their use even more dangerous.

A public health issue

French authorities, such as the Agence Nationale de Sécurité du Médicament (ANSM), have sounded the alarm. These products escape health controls, often being imported illegally or manufactured without respecting standards. Their sale thrives on platforms where regulations are difficult to enforce.

These alerts are not confined to France: the “Viagra honey” phenomenon is spreading internationally, affecting Asian, European and American markets.

Consumers need to be vigilant, and wary of products promising spectacular short-term effects.

Safe and effective alternatives

Rather than risking your health with dubious products, there are proven, natural ways to boost your libido.

Genuine, unadulterated honey remains an excellent source of nutrients beneficial for energy and vitality. Combined with ingredients such as ginger, ginseng or saffron, it can boost desire without side effects.

What's more, adopting a healthy lifestyle, i.e. a balanced diet and regular physical activity, contributes to better sexual health.

These natural solutions don't promise immediate results, but they do guarantee a lasting, risk-free improvement.

How to avoid risky products?

To recognize quality honey, it's essential to read labels carefully.

Exaggerated claims such as "miracle honey" or "erectile boost" should arouse suspicion.

If in doubt, it's best to consult a health professional before using any product presented as an aphrodisiac.

Uncontrolled solutions, such as "Viagra honey", represent a real threat that should not be underestimated.

"Erectile honey" sold as a natural alternative is far from harmless.
Behind its seductive image, it conceals dangerous and potentially lethal substances.
It's best to opt for natural solutions and avoid these modern pitfalls.
When it comes to health, caution remains the best aphrodisiac.
